Honda adds second shift;

Honda will be adding a second shift to produce more of its Civic model at its plant in Indiana, and other models which are in high demand like the Mazda MX 5 can be purchased at a local dealership. The Civic has been selling in large quantities and Honda has not been able to keep up with local demand, so the company is adding more jobs to produce more of the Civic in North America. Other North American models that are based in Japan can be purchased from a Sarasota Mazda dealership.

For quality vehicle repair also check out automotive air conditioning repair Bradenton shops and other local repair shops. Honda will be adding 1,000 workers at its Greensburg, Indiana plant by the end of the year, and it will also be adding a second production shift at the plant. Honda was hit hard by the earthquake which has reduced production of the Civic and slowed down the production of the redesigned 2012 model. Honda production is expected to return to normal for other models but not the Civic. Honda said that its suppliers can support two shifts of Civic production at the plant

Honda has spent over two months working to set up its supply chain and Honda said that it now has a better view of where its parts are coming from and in what quantities that they will be available. Honda said that it has more control over its supply chain now as well. Civic production is not expected to return to normal anytime soon and Honda did not comment on when production of the vehicle would return to normal. Honda said earlier that other North American vehicles would return to normal production before the Civic. Other Honda vehicles have not been as heavily affected by the earthquake and parts shortages as the Civic.

Japanese automakers will rest to use less power;

After the earthquake in Japan power is limited due to power stations closing throughout the country and other issues. Models sold at Mercedes Dealership Maryland are not affected by the Japanese slowdowns and other logistical problems stemming from the earthquake, and neither are Mercedes Dealer PA models. Japanese automakers will work together to work on weekends instead of working on Thursday and Friday, two days which have peak power consumption. The switch is to reduce power usage on the grid, and models that are shipped to Volkswagen Dealer CA will not be affected by the switch in production.

The reduction of power consumption will begin during the first week of July and continue for three months until September. Factories throughout the country will ease the burden on the power grid as they return to functionality. There is a goal to reduce electric power use by 15 percent during the summer. The earthquake and tsunami knocked out 8 percent of the nation's ability to generate power. Honda and Nissan are restoring full operations after the earthquakeand the companies experienced a 57 percent decrease in vehicle production.

There is even less power in Japan after another nuclear power plant shut down due to fears of another tsunami. Defenses against another tsunami are being worked on in Japan and the power plant may return to operation after the defenses are restored. There is an 87 percent likelihood of another 8-magnitude earthquake to strike Japan within the next 30 years, a government study found. Chuba Electric is the name of the power plant that shut down which serves central Japan. Toyota operates factories in central Japan including 12 car and parts factories, and other automakers may be affected by the shutdown of the plant. Toyota previously announced that the company would have delays until the fall.

Hyundai Production Will Improve Now That Supplier Strike Is Over!

Hyundai believes that the ending of the strike will result in better production. One of their main suppliers for them as well as Kia Motors, was on strike, that makes the piston rings for the diesel engines. Hyundai and its affiliate, Kia Motors, are the worlds fifth largest auto manufacturer's in the world. Yoosung is their provider for about 70% of their piston rings. Yoosung main plant is about 48 miles south of Seoul. Their strike had forced Hyundai to stop production on two of the diesel engine lines. If you are wanting a vehicle with no shortage issues, check on Phoenix VW.

Police moved in Yoosung after declaring the work stoppage illegal. The strikers had prevented the non-strikers from entering the plant, then the strikers dominated the plant and took over the premises. Police were at the plant on Wednesday to help the non union employees normalize operations even though it still is unclear when the production will commence. Police had to retain over 500 employees out of the estimated 540 that were steadfast on the property. They have released around 400 and keeping 100 employees for questioning.

Hyundai has an optimistic outlook of resuming production hopefully on Thursday. Even though they have said this strike could cause a lost of millions if continued throughout the end of this month. Hyundai has estimated roughly $756 million in lost sales due to the strike. The strikers are trying to achieve the better pay and working hours. Hyundai Odessa and Tuscaloosa Hyundai do not have shortages of Hyundai's in stock.

Hyundai had to halt productions on many vehicles. One was the Santa Fe diesel powered engine, the Tucson Sport Utility vehicle and the Kia Carnival minivans, due to the part shortage. Though these strikes will cause some profit loss the stock market for Kia and Hyundai rose 2% yesterday. Kia up to 72,000 won in Seoul and Hyundai went up to 235,000 won with even Yoosoung jumping up 9%, up to 3760 won Seoul time yesterday.

At least 6 months before regular production for Toyota;

Toyota will see at least 6 months before the company returns to regular vehicle production, says a Toyota spokesperson. Models sold at Maryland Scion may end up being affected in terms of inventory due to this production delay, however at the moment it is unclear which particular dealerships would be affected by the slowdown. Toyota said that it will take until at least November for production to return back to normal and be on pace with production for models sold at Auburn Hyundai Dealership. Factory suspensions have bottomed out at the moment and output will begin rebounding this summer to help the company return to similar levels of output as Hyundai and other competitors, and the latest Hyundai models can be purchased from a Hyundai Dealer Lancaster.

This announcement is the first time that Toyota has made a public declaration of the timeframe it expects to take for the company to return to full production. This timeframe may give an idea of how long it will take other Japanese automakers like Honda and Nissan to also recover from the earthquakes, as these companies have also struggled with logistical problems stemming from the earthquakes and tsunami. The timeframe is long range and not very specific but it will help dealerships with their planning to avoid inventory shortages and other potential problems that could stem from the delays.

The president of Toyota said that the purpose of the timeframe announcement was to help dealers in their conversations with customers. At the moment salespeople couldn't talk in specifics because there were not specifics available but with the timeframe announcement they now can talk to their customers with an idea in mind about delivery timing. By November or December, output level is expected to be back to where it was before the earthquake and resulting tsunami that destroyed many villages and facilities in northeast Japan.

Honda Launches Acura Sport!

Honda originally launched their Acura sport and luxury division during 1986, and the company has continually improved their product line ever since. The days of Acura's driving and performing like their similar Honda counterparts are long gone. Numerous upgrades and enhancements have been made to the Acura vehicles, like the ones at Milford Acura, to make them more luxurious and refined than ever before.

When the Acura product line first rolled off the assembly line they had a few top selling vehicles including the Integra, Legend, and Vigor all from Woodbridge Acura, that quickly became popular. Motor Trend even named the Legend coupe as the "Import Car of the Year" back in 1987. In addition they also named the Integra as one of the top 10 best cars to drive on the road. Considering this was a fairly new brand for Honda, the Acura series did exceptionally well in their first few years. This definitely raised the standards for Honda on all of its new models. You can also find some great cars similar to the Acura vehicles at places like Hyundai Princeton.

Up to this day, Honda's subsidiary brand still remains a leader in providing high quality, luxury sport coupes and vehicles. Many of the older models, however, have been retired and others replaced with newer models that are being marketed under a few new names such as:

- Acura RL: A midsize, luxury sedan that seats up to 5 passengers
- Acural TL: A midsize, 5 passenger sport luxury sedan
- Acura TSX: A midsize, 5 passenger lower priced alternative to the TL
- Acura RSX: A 4 passenger, sporty coupe priced at around $24,000
- Acura NSX: A fairly expensive 2 passenger exotice sports car
- Acura MSX: A larger 7 passenger luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV)

The new models have definitely changed drastically since the car manufacturer's line was first introduced in '86. Interior improvements, technological improvements, and additional standard and luxury features, have been added over the years and especially in the recently released models. Acura is definitely providing some stiff competition for two similar competing Japanese luxury brands (Infiniti and Lexus).

Acura has also created a very strong following for car enthusiasts and aftermarket "tuners" looking to spice up or "trick out" their sport compact. The Acura Integra (now the RSX), is still an ever popular choice among these enthusiasts. Although, this car is probably not quite as popular as Honda's Civic, it offers many of the same features at a slightly higher price point.

In summary, Honda has clearly brought out an excellent and constantly improving line up of vehicles for consumers both young and old. With everything from small sport compacts to large luxury SUVs, with high quality features and added extras, they are sure to appeal to just about everyone. Loyal Acura enthusiasts and car lovers alike will surely continue to follow the company's strong brand and well known quality line of vehicles for years to come!

Canadian helps Toyota rebound;

After Toyota suffered a series of recalls that hurt the company's reputation for reliability, the company hired a French Canadian chairman of operations to help draft a plan to maintain quality standards at the company. The latest models which have improved with these new quality standards can be purchased from Golden Valley Toyota dealerships. There was an issue at Toyota where some employees felt as if they were not connecting with the overall mission statement and the company as a whole. The Canadian who was hired to help alleviate this problem is named Real Tanguay and he felt that Toyota's employees needed a stronger sense of mission and empowerment. Toyota heeded his advice and began implementing his plan which so far has resulted in success for him. The latest Toyota models that have benefited from higher quality stnadards can be purchased from a Toyota Dealership Salina.

Also check out local BMW Dealer California businesses for high quality BMW import models which have not been affected by similar recalls lately. Toyota asked Tanguay to redesign the Toyota Global Vision business plan and this plan was shown last Wednesday in Tokyo. The plan includes goals and mission statements as well as more specific ideas for improving quality standards. One idea was to move the authority for the company further from headquarters and closer to the various global markets in which the company operates in.

Recalls were not the only issue that Tanguay had to wrestle with, as the company was experiencing fewer sales due to the global recession. The bad timing of the recalls along with the poor economic climate made developing a new plan challenging. Toyota which historically has not gone outside of Japan for advice was desperate for some new direction and hired Tanguay for the development of the new plan. The the new plan has reduced the total number of board members to 11, and the new plan involves several risk aversion techniques in order to avoid future recalls.
