2011 BMW 5-Series is IIHS Top Safety Pick;

The 2011 BMW 5-Series has been selling like mad throughout the world. It is one of the top BMW models on the market, and now it can add more accolades to its resume with its IIHS Top Safety Pick award. The Ford Fusion which was Motor Trend's 2010 Car of the Year did not win the award, and the Fusion can be bought with savings during Ford Incentives. The 5-Series is equipped with some of the best and latest technology safety features. Nissan's revamped Infiniti line however is a strong competitor to the 5-Series and also features the latest safety features, and the Infiniti line can be test driven at Providence Nissan Dealers.

Arizona VW Dealers also offer discounts on Volkswagen produced Audi models that are also very safe such as the A5 and other popular models. The 2011 BMW 5-Series achieved the award for the first time in the model's history. The reason why the 5-Series was given the award was due to its excellent front, rear, side, and rollover crash protection. The 2011 5-Series is the first BMW model to take the award since the IIHS implemented a rollover crash test.

The 2010 5-Series only managed to get a "marginal" rating from the IIHS, so the 2011 model is a large improvement. BMW has ramped up its production of its 5-Series model at its production plants due to increased demand, and these results are likely to only help increase sales of the 5-Series. The new 5-Series has the highest safety rating possible.

The Head Up display of the BMW 5-Series allows drivers to keep their head up while looking at speedometer information and other information, which is one of the latest and most advanced safety features out of any model. The vehicle also features blind spot warning and lane departure warning systems.
