VW Toureg Review.

In a market that is becoming more and more dominated by SUVs, there are several models that are likely to come and go, and then be forgotten.  While Peoria VW is known for their reliable vehicles, is the Volkswagen Toureg going to be able to stay competitive?  This midsize SUV is pricier than its competition and for the price you end up paying, many consumers prefer to go with a more luxurious brand.  You can get a popular compact Equinox or full size Traverse from Florida Chevrolet Dealers for far less than what you will spend on a VW Toureg.  While the Tiguan, a compact SUV that gives the CR-V from Honda Dealer Monterey a run for class leader, is doing quite well for itself, perhaps Volkswagen really does do better with the more compact model line ups?

This midsize SUV can carry five passengers, and does not even offer an optional third row of seating.  There are two trim levels available, and the names indicate the engine choice.  You either get the VR6 FSI or the V6 TDI.  The TDI comes with a turbodiesel V6 engine.  Both trim levels come with a lengthy list of standard features, including a sunroof, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, dual climate control, Bluetooth, CD player with auxiliary jack, satellite radio, heated front seats, 10 way power adjustable driver seat, 8 way adjustable front passenger seat, and rear parking assist.

The VR6 FSI is going to get 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway, and is powered by a 3.6 liter V6 engine giving drivers 280 horsepower and 266 pound feet of torque.  The TDI trim level features a 3.0 liter V6 turbodiesel that gives you 221 horsepower and 407 pound feet of torque.  Plus, the TDI will get 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.  The Toureg makes drivers happy because it can tow an impressive 7,700 pounds, which is more than a lot of the competition.
