Green Concepts From Kia and Honda!

It might be old news by now but green cars are definitely the way of the future.  Some of the concept cars at the 2010 Paris Auto Show this past weekend only go to show that auto makers are abandoning the tried and true gasoline sedan recipes and trying out futuristic designs and technology.  American auto brand New York Dodge has yet to catch on to the hybrid trend, but many other brands are singing a different tune lately.  Below are three designs that caught our eye at the auto show, and you definitely won't find them at Seattle Used Cars anytime soon but you can get a great deal on a used hybrid.

One of the most unique designs comes from the masterminds behind the vehicles at New Orleans Honda.  The concept Honda 3R-C is definitely scooter inspired, features three wheels, and can seat only one passenger.  The driver sits low in the vehicle so there is added protection from the clear plastic shield as well as the height of the vehicle walls surrounding your body.  Powered only by an electric battery, this might be the future of urban transportation.

The Kia Pop is best described by its amazing set of numbers.  This three door bubble of a car can seat three passengers, charges in six hours, gets 100 miles per charge, can travel up to 87 mph, and produces zero emissions!  Drivers can monitor their speed, remaining battery power, and distance traveled via the futuristic electric screen on the dash.  Don't plan on squeezing three adults comfortably into the Pop, but technically, it can be done.

The last car that really stood out is Renault's Twizy Zero Emission vehicle, the next addition to the ZE line up.  It may be 91 inches long, which is larger than a typical scooter, but the Twizy ZE seats two passengers in tandem.  This car first debuted back in 2009 at the Frankfurt Auto Show as a concept, and now it will be in production at the end of 2011 in European markets.
