Toyota Settles Lawsuit over Patent;

Toyota has settled a lawsuit dealing with a patent. Previously owned Toyota models that feature the latest Toyota technology and features can be purchased at a discount from Greenville Used Cars dealerships. Toyota has supposedly used technology developed by a Russian emigrant to developing their efficient batteries that are used in hybrid models. Fuel efficient models that are made by German automaker Volkswagen can be found at a local Peoria VW Dealer.

There are several Ford models that too are capable of being fuel efficient such as the Ford Fusion Hybrid which is one of the best selling models and can be purchased at a Ford Lincoln Mercury Rochester dealership.

Paice LLC founded by Alex Severinsky filed a suit against Toyota claiming that his technology for a high voltage method to power gas-electric hybrid models was adopted by Toyota without his permission. Severinsky is a Soviet emigrant who developed anti-tank weaponry in his career. Severinsky spent several years attempting to get royalties from Toyota, but finally a settlement was reached.

The patent includes information on how to supply torque to wheels with a combination of a combustion engine and an electric motor using high voltage and a low current. Toyota was found to have infringed on the patent by a previous judgment and claimed that their technology was developed by their own engineers as well.

Toyota is one of the major hybrid automakers in the world. Toyota produces several thousands of hybrid models for production every year and in June Toyota sold nearly 15,000 hybrid vehicles. Toyota's payment of the Russian engineer may signify that Toyota was in fact guilty of using some information from the patent to develop their own technology. Toyota would have likely paid the engineer several millions of dollars as a judge formerly ruled that Toyota should pay $25 for every car that they created with the technology.
