Kia "Pop"s into the Micro-Car Market

Next time you heat to Chevrolet Chattanooga, you might get to see the highly anticipated Chevy Volt in the showroom.  Green and alternative vehicles are gaining popularity, and now Kia is planning to create an electric car.  There is a wide selection of older Kia models from Bradenton Used Cars, but this new one won't come to the United States for some time.  Kia's new car will be the Kia Pop, and consumers can get a sneak peak at the innovative design when the car debuts in Paris at the auto show in September.  The VW Specials that are currently being run are a good idea, as companies need to do whatever possible to stay competitive in this global automotive market.

The innovative thing about this concept car is that it has the ability to seat three people; the driver, the passenger, and then one seat in the backseat behind the passenger.  Coming in right at 3,000 millimeters long, which is 3 meters or roughly 9.8 feet, it is the exact same length as the Toyota iQ which can carry four people.  The popular Smart For Two is a little shorter, but not by much, just a little under 1 foot, or 300 millimeters.  More details will be released at the auto show on September 30th in Paris.

Until that happens, we can make a few predictions about what we will see based on some specifications from the Toyota iQ minicar, seeing as how they are the same length.  It should be clarified that while the iQ does have four seats, it really means it is 3+1, or able to carry three adults and one child or piece of luggage comfortably.  The inside feels relatively spacious, as the steering column is centered and the dashboard is asymmetrical.  Plus, the seats are slimmer which adds 1.5 inches to the interior space.  There are rear-angled shocks as well as a completely flat fuel tank that is positioned under the seats to utilize space the most efficiently.
