BMW Sales top Lexus Again;

BMW's sales in the United States have topped Lexus for the third month in a row. Other high class luxury models can be purchased from a Mercedes-Benz Dealer Shreveport. BMW sales rose 1.6 percent for the month of August and BMW beat its rival Lexus again in the United States. Lexus has been a fairly dominant automaker for luxury cars in the United States but BMW has been threatening its position. The BMW 1-Series and the 5-Series have been popular vehicle models in the states.

Ford Dealer Memphis dealerships will be looking to offer competing models from the Lincoln luxury line such as the Lincoln MKZ hybrid. Honda Dealer Bossier also sell Acura vehicle models that are excellent alternatives to BMW and Mercedes models because of their features and high quality builds. BMW increased its sales to close to 19,500 and BMW 1-Series and 7-Series sales increased 42 percent for the month of August.

Lexus deliveries decreased 15 percent for this month as well. However, BMW of North America's president said that the company is experiencing a slowdown of sales as well as other companies and that the company did not expect the second half of 2010 to be as profitable as the first half was. The slowdown in sales was thought to result from the recession and decreased demand from luxury vehicles as whole, even though BMW has been selling well in spite of the downturned economy.

Lexus was one of the only luxury automakers to post a decline in sales for the month of August as other automakers did well even with a poor economy for the month of August. Lexus's decreased sales might have been due to the recent recall news of a fire risk in certain Lexus models. Lexus models and other models decreased in sales for 2010 when in 2009 the Cash for Clunkers program increased sales for several brands.
