Nissan Leaf Specs

As we near closer to the release of the 2011 Nissan Leaf electric vehicle, we thought it was time to do another quick review on the amazing features and financing available through Hartford Bad Credit Auto Loan.  Unlike the new Chevy Volt which uses gasoline to charge the electric batteries, the Nissan Leaf is 100% electric and you can’t find it at Master Automotive.  The release of the Leaf has been highly anticipated and publicized, and as details were released from Nissan, a lot of previously released information is now incorrect.  You can still get your current car repaired at MA Marlboro Auto Body if you are on the pre-registration list for the Nissan Leaf.

The Leaf is stylish and comfortable, inside and out!  The seats can comfortably seat four adults or you can legally carry five; hopefully, that back middle seat passenger will be small.  Drivers will enjoy the upgraded amenities inside, such as cruise control and auto climate control.  There is a solar panel for added driving range in the higher SL trim, plus there is a package where you can heat only the steering wheel and seat, rather than the entire cabin.  This will preserve the range you get from a charge, because once your hands and body are warm then you really don’t need to heat all the air inside the cabin.  Outside, the Nissan Leaf blends in with the rest of the Nissan line up and even could look like extended family of the Infiniti brand cars.

The guts of the Nissan Leaf are composed of a 24 kilowatt lithium-ion battery pack that is located under the floor of the car between the wheels.  The electric motor is able to churn out 80 kilowatts to help the Leaf accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only ten seconds, which is enough time to get on your typical freeway onramp.  The top speed is at 90 mph and you can go between 60 and 120 miles per charge.
