Hybrid Performance Car From Honda

It is pretty common knowledge that import brands produce some of the most fuel efficient vehicles that are available.  You can always get a Used Chrysler Fort Worth, but the fuel efficiency doesn’t even come close to what you would get from a Honda or Toyota.  The newest car rolling in on Freightliner Trucks is the 2011 Honda CR-Z hybrid.  Modeled after the popular 1980s CR-X, the new sporty hybrid promises to offer a fun driving experience and impressive fuel efficiency.  It is hard to compete with the old CR-X, a kind of cult favorite that you can keep in great shape by going to Car Repair Southern Pines

The new CR-Z is only offered as a hybrid vehicle, although there are talks of offering it as a CR-Z Si car, which would help reduce the price by about $2,000.  Featuring an inline four cylinder engine combined with a DC electric motor, you get a total of 122 horsepower and 128 pound feet of torque.  While those numbers aren’t bad for a smaller car, the CR-Z weighs in around 2,700 pounds; all that extra weight comes from the hybrid engine components plus the additional safety features that modern cars come with.  There is an option for a six speed manual transmission, which gives you 31 mpg around town and 35 mpg on the highway.  If you opt for the CVT (continuously variable transmission) then your mileage improves to 37 mpg in town and 39 on the highway.

There are three different trim levels available; base, EX, and EX navigation.  The base starts out at $19,950 while the EX with navigation will cost you $23,960, and that includes the CVT.  All vehicles are nicely equipped with power accessories, auto climate control, keyless entry, USB and audio auxiliary jacks, LED lights for the taillights, stability control, and the ability to change your driving mode between sport, normal, and eco.  The interior materials are nicer than we are used to from Honda, but there is still strong competition even within the company from the popular Honda Fit and the hybrid Insight.
