Kia, Hyundai, Subaru, Mazda Mean Low-Cost Insurance!

The cars at Arlington Toyota Dealers might be some of the most reliable cars that you can own, but the high price and resale value associated with them make them expensive to insure.  On a list of the top ten cars with the cheapest insurance for 2010, there wasn’t one single Toyota or Jaguar S Type Greensboro vehicle on the entire list.  Rather, we saw plenty of import brands that are having high sales for the 2010 year and those drivers get the added benefit of having low insurance costs.  The list of top ten was compiled by InsWeb, and we saw a few Chevrolet Avalanche Pontiac cars from American brands, but a lot of import brands.  So if you are on a budget, consider getting yourself one of these import vehicles so you can save money on insurance.

The quality of Kia cars continues to get stronger and stronger as people look at them as more of a quality brand rather than a bargain brand.  The 2010 Kia Optima and 2010 Kia Sedona both make excellent family vehicles and they are both very affordable when it comes to insurance.  The Sedona is one of the safest minivans manufactured, and Kia has learned that you can increase your sales by making safety features standard rather than optional.  Also from the Kia family is the Hyundai Santa Fe.  The 10 year 100,000 mile warranty still can’t be beat by the competition, and the Santa Fe is a stylish alternative to the copycat SUVs we see on dealership lots all the time.

With a brand new appearance for 2010 that wasn’t allowing dealerships to come down on the price as much as they have in the past, the Subaru Outback is a solid and quality car that won’t break the bank when it comes to your monthly insurance premiums.  People who drive a Subaru will likely forever drive a Subaru; the safety ratings and all-wheel drive are superb.  Lastly is the Mazda5, which many consumers are confused if it is a minivan or a station wagon.  Our view is that if the doors slide open, you have yourself a minivan.  Drivers love the seating for six that is comfortable, but wish they had more cargo room.  Perhaps the lower insurance rates can make up for its faults.

Mazda and Honda's Profit Boosts!

There might be plenty of Vernon Hyundai Service Specials being offered right now, but is the company reporting the sales profit figures like that of Japanese auto brands right now?  Honda and Mazda have both had incredible sales growth, and that is going against the grain of a recovering Japanese yen.  The cars at Manchester Mazda have been selling quickly, and they are selling just as well in their domestic land.  Honda is reporting that their profits have doubled while Mazda’s profits have increased by ten times what they were last year!  It is unclear how the sales of Concord Mitsubishi vehicles are doing at this time and they will likely report their sales later. 

The auto sales in the United States have increased by about 10% on average, so that is likely helping import brands have high sales profit figures.  Honda just finished their second quarter with 135.93 billion yen, which equates to $5.6 billion.  Last year their second quarter profits were only 54 billion yen, so their sales profits have more than doubled.  As a result, they have increased their profit forecast and estimate that by March 2011 the total profit will be 500 billion yen (or $6.2 billion).  If Honda meets that goal then their sales will have gone up by 86% compared to 2009.

While the exact percentage of sales for Mazda vehicles in the U.S. hasn’t been reported, the growing popularity of the Zoom, Zoom brand has likely had a significant effect on their profit increases.  Mazda is reporting their second quarter profits to be 7.62 billion yen, which is equivalent to $94.4 million.  Of course those numbers aren’t as high as what we saw with Honda, but remember that last year Mazda only reported 707 million yen for their 2009 second quarter profits; that means they have increased sales profit by more than ten times!

Who Said Convertable's Aren't Safe?

The 2010 Volkswagen Eos was ranked number 13 out of 18 for Upscale Midsized Cars. Even though there has been no crash tests done by Federal Government, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety said that the 2009 model was the "Top Safety Pick". They were also ranked as "Good", which is the highest rating you can receive, for frontal and side impact crash testing.

Like the one's found at Peoria Volkswagen Dealer, the Eos comes equipped with 4 wheel anti-lock brakes, with brake assist; traction control and stability control; front side impact and side head curtain airbags come standard. The side curtain airbags explode upward from the doors so they can function properly if top was down. They also make sure the airbags are functional for any size passenger. Roll bars pop up automatically if rollover is detected.

Mazda Blowout Dealer would be able to tell you that the 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata was ranked one of Car and Driver's "10 Best" and Consumer Reports adds it as one of their "Top Recommendation's".

This vehicle offers dual front airbags; side airbags along with side impact beams; anti-lock brakes and seatbelt pretensioners. The Miata is also equipped with an ignition disable device that will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original manufacturers key is not being used.

Pittsburgh GMC Dealers have the 2009 Pontiac Solstice. It was ranked 7 out of 10 by JD Power and Associates for reliability. The vehicle received 4 out of 5 stars for front and side impact along with 5 stars on their rollover rating.

The solstice offers many safety features as well. This vehicle has front air bags; traction control; electronic stability control; child seat lower anchorage; 4 wheel ABS; seatbelt pretensioners; tire pressure monitor and OnStar. The biggest complaint I found on this vehicle is that the roof has to be removed manually.

All of these vehicles have excellent safety features as well as high scores on front and side impact and rollover ratings. I will have to say that my personal opinion on the safest convertible of the three would have to be the 2010 Volkswagen Eos. This opinion is based on the fact that they have a rollover bar that comes out when a rollover is detected. It is just a comforting thought that something so critical and dangerous as a possible rollover can be detected and prevented.
