Go Drive an Accord Crosstour Today!

Adding a new vehicle to your brand’s line up can be a bit of a challenge.  Customers who go to places like Suzuki Dealers PA can be finicky and not always open to the idea of change.  Honda is hoping that buyers will absolutely love their 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour, which is meant to be a bigger and better model of the current Honda Accord.  You can always get crossovers from places like NJ Hyundai Dealership, but the Honda Accord is already an American favorite so it is hard to imagine that sales wouldn’t be high.  The prices are a bit higher than many consumers would like, so you might want to check out the cars at Pre-Owned of Salisbury to see if there are any great deals that you can’t pass up.

Under the hood of the 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour you will find a V6 engine, just like you do in the regular model of the Accord.  It features a 3.5 liter 24-valve engine that is estimated to put out 271 horsepower and 254 pound feet of torque.  The Crosstour’s engine has been optimized for fuel economy so sometimes it will only use three or four of its cylinders to give drivers the best fuel economy possible based on the current driving conditions.  Honda calls this their Variable Cylinder Management system.  With all that being said, drivers can expect to get 18 mpg around town and 27 mpg on the highway, and that drops to 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway if you opt for the all-wheel drive model.

Inside the Honda Accord Crosstour you will find yourself a little piece of Japanese luxury.  The Crosstour wants to combine upscale elegance with the functionality and practicality of a Honda, and they achieved that goal.  There is plenty of leg room for the front passengers as well as those riding in back.  The hatchback opens up at a special angle to increase the versatility of the vehicle and there is ample storage with 25.7 cubic feet of storage in back that increases to 51.3 cubic feet if you fold the backseats down.

Mazda and Honda's Profit Boosts!

There might be plenty of Vernon Hyundai Service Specials being offered right now, but is the company reporting the sales profit figures like that of Japanese auto brands right now?  Honda and Mazda have both had incredible sales growth, and that is going against the grain of a recovering Japanese yen.  The cars at Manchester Mazda have been selling quickly, and they are selling just as well in their domestic land.  Honda is reporting that their profits have doubled while Mazda’s profits have increased by ten times what they were last year!  It is unclear how the sales of Concord Mitsubishi vehicles are doing at this time and they will likely report their sales later.

The auto sales in the United States have increased by about 10% on average, so that is likely helping import brands have high sales profit figures.  Honda just finished their second quarter with 135.93 billion yen, which equates to $5.6 billion.  Last year their second quarter profits were only 54 billion yen, so their sales profits have more than doubled.  As a result, they have increased their profit forecast and estimate that by March 2011 the total profit will be 500 billion yen (or $6.2 billion).  If Honda meets that goal then their sales will have gone up by 86% compared to 2009.

While the exact percentage of sales for Mazda vehicles in the U.S. hasn’t been reported, the growing popularity of the Zoom, Zoom brand has likely had a significant effect on their profit increases.  Mazda is reporting their second quarter profits to be 7.62 billion yen, which is equivalent to $94.4 million.  Of course those numbers aren’t as high as what we saw with Honda, but remember that last year Mazda only reported 707 million yen for their 2009 second quarter profits; that means they have increased sales profit by more than ten times!

Hybrid Performance Car From Honda

It is pretty common knowledge that import brands produce some of the most fuel efficient vehicles that are available.  You can always get a Used Chrysler Fort Worth, but the fuel efficiency doesn’t even come close to what you would get from a Honda or Toyota.  The newest car rolling in on Freightliner Trucks is the 2011 Honda CR-Z hybrid.  Modeled after the popular 1980s CR-X, the new sporty hybrid promises to offer a fun driving experience and impressive fuel efficiency.  It is hard to compete with the old CR-X, a kind of cult favorite that you can keep in great shape by going to Car Repair Southern Pines

The new CR-Z is only offered as a hybrid vehicle, although there are talks of offering it as a CR-Z Si car, which would help reduce the price by about $2,000.  Featuring an inline four cylinder engine combined with a DC electric motor, you get a total of 122 horsepower and 128 pound feet of torque.  While those numbers aren’t bad for a smaller car, the CR-Z weighs in around 2,700 pounds; all that extra weight comes from the hybrid engine components plus the additional safety features that modern cars come with.  There is an option for a six speed manual transmission, which gives you 31 mpg around town and 35 mpg on the highway.  If you opt for the CVT (continuously variable transmission) then your mileage improves to 37 mpg in town and 39 on the highway.

There are three different trim levels available; base, EX, and EX navigation.  The base starts out at $19,950 while the EX with navigation will cost you $23,960, and that includes the CVT.  All vehicles are nicely equipped with power accessories, auto climate control, keyless entry, USB and audio auxiliary jacks, LED lights for the taillights, stability control, and the ability to change your driving mode between sport, normal, and eco.  The interior materials are nicer than we are used to from Honda, but there is still strong competition even within the company from the popular Honda Fit and the hybrid Insight.

Get Fit with Honda!

What is fun to drive, has lots of storage, and will cost you less than $20,000?  You might want to guess a car from Toyota Boston, but the right answer is the Honda Fit!  This small car has been gaining lots of popularity, and once you take a closer look at it, you will see why it is stomping out long time competitors in its class.  Ford Monterey might be offering their highly anticipated 2011 Ford Fiesta in the same class, but only time will tell which one is here to stay on top of the game.  The small car class is diverse and growing constantly as auto makers try their luck to please consumers.

Bradenton Chevy Dealer has a few small cars to offer consumers but none that compare to the features of the Honda Fit that drivers absolutely adore.  Chevy recently introduced the 2011 Chevy Cruze to the market, but some experts fear that this already crowded class will eat up the Cruze quite quickly.  For people who think that the Fit is just like any other hatchback on the road, they should bite their tongues.  U.S. News and Rankings has compiled a list of stellar awards and reviews that the Honda Fit has earned.  To name off a few, it was awarded "Best Hatchback for the Money 2010" and "Best Car for the Money 2009" by U.S. News and Rankings.  The 2010 model also earned the a spot on the "10 Best" by Car and Driver.

So what exactly is it about this car that makes it so special?  Besides being fun to drive with responsive handling and acceleration, drivers love how versatile the storage features are.  The cargo area can be transformed for three different levels of storage need: tall, long, or utility.  The back seat is able to fold completely flat into the floor, giving you tons of cargo space.  And with an impressive 10 cup holders, drivers can never complain about having to buy aftermarket cup holders for their Honda again!

2010 Honda Accord Crosstour

The crossover market keeps getting larger and larger, and now Honda is naming their new model after the crossover theme: Honda Accord Crosstour.  In an already competitive auto market, it will be interesting to see how reliable Honda does compared to the American favorite VW Jetta Wagon, available at VW Peoria.  While this sleek and aerodynamic little car can't compare to the size of the Ford F-150 Inventory, it isn't meant to either!  This crossover vehicle is meant to please and accommodate those consumers who are already fans of the Honda Accord but are needing additional cargo space.  No one wants to jump from a small sedan like the Accord into a Freightliner Trucks Fort Lauderdale, so crossovers and small SUVs make a great alternative.

The Accord Crosstour comes in two trim levels, the EX or EX-L.  Standard features include a sunroof, dual zone auto climate control plus additional vents in the back seat, six CD changer with auxiliary jack, 17 inch wheels, power front seats, 10 way adjustable driver seat, four way adjustable passenger seat, and fog lights.  The EX-L trim level gives drivers larger 18 inch wheels, memory function for the driver seat, leather interior, Bluetooth capable, USB port for radio, satellite radio, and heated front seats.  The only option that Honda has for the EX-L model is the voice activated navigation system and back-up camera.  The EX starts out at $29,670 and the EX-L starts out at $34,020.  The EX-L gets slightly lower gas mileage, with 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.  The base model EX gets drivers 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

While the Accord Crosstour has a roomy interior, incredibly quiet and smooth driving experience, it gets negative reviews for its cargo space and the exterior design is one of those you either love or hate.  The Accord Crosstour can haul 51.3 cubic feet worth of stuff, which is fairly comparable to the Toyota Matrix.  However, its category competition include the Subaru Outback and Toyota Venza, both of which can carry more than 70 cubic feet worth of cargo.

Is Your Import More American Than You Think?

It is always exciting when you have a truly global market for a product.  The auto industry is just such a market.  You can find a VW dealership in numerous countries around the world, but have you ever stopped to think about where your VW was put together?  Or what is the country of origin for the parts composing that German car?  The vehicles from Honda Dealer Los Angeles are Japanese in nature, but recent reports are suggesting that one of their best-sellers, the Honda Accord, actually originates from Ohio and Alabama.  So you may think you are driving an import little car, but in reality, it was made right here in the United States!  Look at the bright side though, at least your shipping destination charges are less than if your car was really assembled in Japan.  People who purchased a Ford Escape or Focus from a Cincinnati Ford Dealer can be confident that chances are their vehicle was assembled in Kansas City, Missouri or Wayne, Michigan.

The Toyota Camry is the number one car made in the United States, with production happening in Kentucky and Indiana.  The Honda Accord is second, followed then by actual domestic vehicles like the Ford Escape, the Ford Focus, and the Chevrolet Malibu.  The sixth most frequent United States production is the Honda Odyssey, which is also assembled in Alabama.  Toyota has a few more models that are made in the U.S., including the Toyota Tundra which came in 8th place and is manufactured in San Antonio as well as the Toyota Sienna which came in 10th place and is made in Indiana.  It is interesting that five import cars made the top ten list of being domestically made!

Vehicles are made in different parts of the world depending on the market demand in that given area.  It makes sense that the minivan Sienna is made in the United States, because there is more of a demand for minivans here in the United States rather than in Japan.  The same thing goes for the full size Toyota Tundra Truck; the United States dominates the market demand for trucks, so it is far more cost effective to get the parts here and manufacture here, than to order parts to ship to Japan, make the vehicles, and then ship them back to the United States.

Honda Gets Tough on Striking Workers

Honda has made their intentions known that they will be getting tougher on striking workers that have cost the company tens of thousands of dollars. Honda and several other makes and models can be found among Sarasota Cars for Sale. Honda has lots a lot of revenue due to parts being slowed down in production and other problems resulting from the strike. Peoria Volkswagen dealers have not been affected since Volkswagen auto parts are not produced at those plants that are striking. Nissan St. Louis sells Nissan vehicles which are a direct competitor to Japanese automakers Toyota and Honda which have both been affected by labor strikes in China.

The company is facing strikes from Chinese workers who are demand better wages and other benefits. Atsumitec Co is an affiliate of Honda and their factory said it would fire the 200 strikers if they continued to stop working by telephone. Atsumitec officials did not make any comments on the quote. The workers handed the company a letter signed by 150 out of the 200 workers that demanded a wage increase of 500 yuan which equates to $74 per month. 100 replacement workers were hired on Saturday in order to keep the plant running.

Some workers returned to the factory in fear that they might be fired for violating work rules, but ironically they stood in place in protest at their stations. A striking worker said, "Some of us returned to the production line today but were stopped as the company said workers could not stay on the line if they were not working."

Some 2o-30 workers did not show up for work at all and were warned by the government that they would be in danger of losing some of their benefits and rights if they continued to not show up for work. However, the workers are still unhappy and some deal will have to be made in order for production to continue.
