Honda Gets Tough on Striking Workers

Honda has made their intentions known that they will be getting tougher on striking workers that have cost the company tens of thousands of dollars. Honda and several other makes and models can be found among Sarasota Cars for Sale. Honda has lots a lot of revenue due to parts being slowed down in production and other problems resulting from the strike. Peoria Volkswagen dealers have not been affected since Volkswagen auto parts are not produced at those plants that are striking. Nissan St. Louis sells Nissan vehicles which are a direct competitor to Japanese automakers Toyota and Honda which have both been affected by labor strikes in China.

The company is facing strikes from Chinese workers who are demand better wages and other benefits. Atsumitec Co is an affiliate of Honda and their factory said it would fire the 200 strikers if they continued to stop working by telephone. Atsumitec officials did not make any comments on the quote. The workers handed the company a letter signed by 150 out of the 200 workers that demanded a wage increase of 500 yuan which equates to $74 per month. 100 replacement workers were hired on Saturday in order to keep the plant running.

Some workers returned to the factory in fear that they might be fired for violating work rules, but ironically they stood in place in protest at their stations. A striking worker said, "Some of us returned to the production line today but were stopped as the company said workers could not stay on the line if they were not working."

Some 2o-30 workers did not show up for work at all and were warned by the government that they would be in danger of losing some of their benefits and rights if they continued to not show up for work. However, the workers are still unhappy and some deal will have to be made in order for production to continue.
