BMW was affected by the strikes which is a new company to join the mix of those who have been slowed down or otherwise affected by Chinese labor strikes. However, Mercedes-Benz, a major BMW competitor was not affected by the latest strike and Mercedes models can be found at Annapolis Mercedes-Benz Dealers.
Honda and Toyota have been two major automakers that have been affected by slow downs related to the strikes, and some deals have been negotiated since the initial strikes last May that have allowed workers to continue their work and some plants to continue production.
The company in which the strikes are occurring is called Omron and it is a Japanese company that produces electronics such as switches and ignition keys. China's image and reputation as being a low cost and hassle free country for outsourcing production is under threat as more workers become dissatisfied with the extremely low wages that they are offered along with some of the poorest working conditions in the world.
The latest strikes may change some of China's human rights laws and there may be more protests in the future from workers who are treated very poorly compared to several other developed countries throughout the world. As the Chinese economy rebounds and grows, more workers will likely continue to demand better wages and a larger share of the profit that international corporations are benefiting from in China.
