Mercedes to Pass Lexus for Market Lead in U.S.;

Mercedes is primed to once again be the champion of the United States luxury auto market as sales from Toyota's luxury Lexus brand have dropped. Cadillac is GM's luxury brand that is looking for a flagship model, and other GM models can be purchased at Dayton Chevrolet Dealers. Lexus sales have dropped amid reports of vehicle faults in numerous Lexus models and other negative publicity that the automaker has had to battle over the past half year. Used Lexus models can be purchased with North Carolina Used Car Loans.

Audi, BMW, Cadillac, and Lincoln are other major luxury sellers that battle for the top spot in the United States luxury auto market. Audi models can be test driven at your local Volkswagen Dealer that offers Audi models as well.

Sales of the Mercedes E-class in particular have doubled to 27,778 in the first half of 2010. The E-class is one of the highest rated Mercedes models on the market. For the first half of 2010, Lexus models increased by 19 percent in sales and Mercedes grew by a total of 25 percent to 106,972 sales in the United States. Mercedes models like the E-class have been shown to be popular sellers.

Mercedes may take over Lexus as being the top seller for luxury vehicles in the United States. Lexus has suffered image problems due to fuel leaks, engine stalling problems, and vehicle rollover problems in various Lexus models. Toyota has recalled over 8 million vehicles under its Toyota brand due to various defects, and this tally does not include Lexus brand models.

Time will tell if Mercedes does actually go on to take over the top spot from Lexus in the United States, but it is certain to be a battle. Lexus will not easily give up its spot, and although there have been vehicle flaws with Lexus models, none of the flaws have been so severe to cause huge decreases in sales so far.

Mercedes Tops German Market For First Time in Years;

J.D. Power announced that Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz brand is now the top preferred brand in Germany. German car owners have reported Mercedes to be the most satisfactory brand for the first time in 8 years. Used Mercedes models can be found at a Bradenton used cars dealer. Volkswagen, a major German competitor can be purchased at a local VW Dealer.

Honda's luxury line that also took a top spot in the study can be purchased at a Trenton Acura dealership. The brand finally ranked in the first spot where in past years either Daihatsu, Toyota, or Honda hs taken the top spot. All three of the previously mentioned brands are Japanese, and the Japanese car market has done quite well in Germany. Mercedes earned 838/1000 points and the rankings were based upon vehicle appeal, vehicle quality, and vehicle reliability.

Mercedes recently made news that the company had been selling more vehicles recently due to better economic growth among luxury demographics and increased demand. Mercedes suffered along with many other luxury automakers over the past few years due to the economic recession.

Other awards that Mercedes won include the top compact executive model, the C-class, and the best sports car, the CLK. Mercedes has historically ranked highly in the poll. Chevrolet ranked number 24 and Fiat ranked number 25 in the poll. Daihatsu was the top automaker in the 2009 poll but was not ranked for 2010 because of having too small of a market in Germany. BMW and Dacia were tied for second in the 2010 poll.

Mercedes will hope to continue to rank in the number one spot for 2011 with several revamped 2011 models that have many luxury vehicle enthusiasts excited for the upcoming year. The 2010 C-class and CLK are two of the top luxury and sports models in the world at the moment.

Mercedes CL-class Coupe has a Few New Upgrades;

The Mercedes CL-class Coupe offers a few different exterior changes from the 2010 version and a few other feature changes for 2011. The CL-class is not really in competition with models like the Ford F-150 that can be found at a Ford F-150 Inventory or Pittsburgh Ford dealer. Volkswagen is another German automaker that has a few coupe models that can be found at a Volkswagen Peoria dealer that are not priced in the same range as the CL-class.

The CL-class is based on the same auto platform as the S-class model. Mercedes was supposedly to name the CL-class the S-class coupe but instead settled on the CL-class. The current variations available of the CL-class include the CL 550 which features 4 wheel drive and the CL 600 which features rear wheel drive. Both models have new variations in their bodies from the 2010 models. Two new models that will come out over the next year or so are the C63 AMG and the CL65 AMG. The CL63 AMG will have a 5.5 liter twin turbo V-8.

The CL 550 and CL 600 models come with some of the most lavish interiors available on a luxury vehicle. Both models will have a split screen navigation and entertainment system which will allow passengers to view a DVD on one side of the screen and drivers to simultaneously check directions with the navigation system. Both models will be available with the Designo package which allows further customization of vehicle trim, exterior, and interior.

The CL 550 features an all-new 4.6 liter twin turbo V-8 engine. The previous year's engine was a 5.5 liter V-8. The new engine has 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque while having increased fuel efficiency of up to 15 percent and lower emissions. The new engine is the biggest change in the previous year models. The CL 550 and CL 600 are available at a local Mercedes dealership.
